I start keeping English diary as a result of this book –

Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

 

之前曾聽說過，

英 文 就是要大量閱讀，

就抱著不求甚解的輕鬆心情，大量閱讀。

 

It takes half an hour a day to read the book,

which talks about a boy named Gregory, whose elementary school life.

 

故事的內容很簡單、有趣，

也可以學到很多英 文 的常用字或是 文 法，

都是些很實用的字彙。

 

最不想做的事的英 文 是……，

the last thing I need is to have to + V.

 

險境、麻煩 hot water。

大撈一筆 make a killing

實況報導 play-by-play

And so on…

 

Gregory總是會有些小聰明讓他的生活變得忙碌，

他幼稚卻自以為是大人的看法也常令人莞爾一笑，

 

引述書中一段Gregory的日記內容：

Let me just say for the record that I think middle school is the dumbest idea ever invented.

You got kids like me who haven’t hit their growth spurt yet mixed in with these gorillas who need

to shave twice a day.

And then they wonder why bullying is such a big problem in middle school.
